I love Rachael Ray and she has a recipe for Fried Green Tomatoes that I have been wanting to try!
While we were at my Aunt and Uncle's for Father's Day, I picked these gorgeous tomatoes!
I sliced two and seasoned them with salt and pepper...
I dipped them in flour...
Then coated them in egg whites and dipped them in bread crumbs...
Then I fried them in oil for a few minutes on each side...
Until they were golden brown...
Nate grilled some hamburgers and topped them with pepper-jack cheese...
We put the Fried Green Tomatoes on our burgers...
I forgot that we did not have hamburger buns, so we used toast instead!
Yum-O!!!
